Two Walk Out Of Westchester CVS With Bags Of Stolen Beer, Police Say

Police are investigating a shoplifting incident at a CVS in Westchester in which two people walked out of the store with bags filled with beer, police said.

Officers were dispatched to the CVS on Popham Road in Scarsdale at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, where there was a report of a Hispanic man and woman left the store with several large bags filled with beer, without paying.

According to police, investigators surveyed surveillance video, which helped them identify a pair of suspects. Officers described the first suspect as a Hispanic man with a medium complexion. 

He was wearing a red T-shirt, dark jeans and a small round hat at the time of the shoplifting incident. The second was described as a Hispanic woman wearing a black shirt, black hat, black pants and sneakers, carrying a bag on her shoulder.

Police said that the two can be seen exiting the store at 8:24 a.m., with the male suspect carrying a large plastic bag with a plaid pattern, and the woman left the store carrying several bags over her left shoulder and a box of beer in her right hand. They failed to pay for any of the items in their possession.

If they are tracked down, the two suspects will face charges that include petit larceny and possession of burglary tools. The investigation is ongoing.
